Mike and Wilma’s wedding day dawned bright and sunny and beautiful! That was refreshing for us since our last few weddings were cloudy and a bit rainy. They are another couple we hadn’t met before their wedding day, but they were easy to get to know!
The morning started with a few photos at around a willow- lined pond. Every photographer loves willow trees and I am no exception- I was delighted to see them! Wilma had beautiful handmade bouquets with hydrangeas and that had such a charming garden look.
The ceremony and reception were both held at one location. I absolutely loved all the hydrangeas everywhere! It was such a perfect end of summer wedding. As we photographed their reception and watched them surrounded with the love of family and friends and the joy of dreams come true, I was amazed once again at how incredible my job is! That two almost- strangers welcome me into the most special day of their lives and trust me with documenting this… That just for one day, I get to be a part of their story. It never gets old!
After the reception, Mike and Wilma left with a hearty send off from their guests! Wilma had picked and dried wildflowers and clover, and all the guests received a cone full of it for their exit. The guests made sure it was well used and the poor couple was picking it out of their hair for a long time! 🙂
We ended the day with bride and groom portraits at the park where they had spent many hours while they were dating- and Mike had proposed there as well! Mike and Wilma, we loved meeting you two and getting to witness a bit of your unique love story!
