We met Nate & Krystal back in March when these two drove 4 hours to meet us in Harrisburg for their engagement session! I knew their wedding was going to be a good one after we walked around on the city streets photographing them.
They are such a joy to be around – you can tell that just being together brings them so much happiness and that is contagious! They are such a perfect balance for each other.
Their wedding day got an early start with getting ready and detail photos at the church with their bridal party. After a short and sweet first look, we drove 20 minutes to Conneaut lake for portraits. It was totally worth the drive! The marina was the perfect backdrop for Krystal’s elegant, neutral style. I love lakes and boats and getting to photograph there was so much fun!
The stunning bridal bouquet and the other florals were arranged by Nate’s mom and sisters. I couldn’t believe they aren’t florists for a job- I mean, just look at those bouquets!
The bridal party all wore champagne and tan, and with all the accents of dried grasses it reminded me very much of autumn. ( Fall brides, take note!) The day became increasingly cloudy but we got all the photos taken without getting rained on!
After Nate and Krystal were married, they did a pour painting as their unity ceremony… the colors blending and contrasting, creating something even more beautiful than each would have been alone.
The reception continued the theme of neutrals, with elk and deer antlers on the tables representing the groom’s love of hunting. The small white building was bursting at the seams with love and laughter as their family and friends celebrated with the newlyweds. Family and bridal party shared lots of stories at the mic- as always, it’s so fun to hear their story from others!
During a break in the afternoon rain, we slipped outside with them for a few just married photos in a grassy field.
Their exit into Nate’s old pickup truck for their getaway was a noisy one! Guests were all handed kazoos and instructed how to use them, which they definitely did!
Nate and Krystal- I hope you always make each other laugh! We loved your wedding day and it was such an honor to document it.
light +love, Michelle
