Charles and Tasha

Jan. 29 2022 East Earl Pennsylvania

Charles and Tasha were married on one of the coldest days of January! As the forecast changed for the worse the week of the wedding, Tasha decided to rent Springside barn for photos instead of doing them all outdoors. That was the best decision- not only did we have a warm, bright indoor space for photos, she also got to use the beautiful bridal suite!

We decided to stay at my uncle’s place nearby the night before so we wouldn’t have to drive so far in the snow the next morning. Which was a good call- we ended up having to borrow their truck because our SUV couldn’t make it out the driveway! The roads were snow covered and the wind was intense.

But indoors it was warm and Tasha’s colors contrasted so beautifully with all the white. We started with detail and getting ready photos in the bridal suite. Tasha decided to do a first look with her dad and it was such a sweet, emotional moment.. As she is the oldest, and only daughter in her family, her father showed such love and concern that his little girl was being well taken care of.

Charles and Tasha shared a few private moments together for their first look and then we attempted a few minutes of outdoor photos. The snow was beautiful but we were more than ready to get back inside!

The church and reception were only a few minutes away from Springside Barn, and despite the road conditions everyone made it over safely and in time.

During the ceremony, Charles’ brother and nephew sang a beautiful song and their parents joined them for prayer after they shared their vows.

The reception was held in the basement and it was simple and beautiful, with evergreens and candles. Tasha’s mother and aunts made the delicious meal with an array of pies for dessert.

Both the bride and groom served at Allegheny Boys Camp, so their friends from camp sang a song for them during open mic.

After the couple said their goodbyes to their family and friends, we went back to Springside barn for a few more photos. The sun even came out and we got a few more photos outside.
