Kedric and Sharina’s wedding day was so full of joy, laughter and family. One of those days that was just so much fun not only to photograph, but also just to be there!
Sharina lived just a few miles away from where we do, here in Juniata county. Back in 2019 I photographed her brother’s wedding. I was so excited when she reached out to me about photographing her and Kedric’s big day!
We had a bit of a hard time finding a location for portraits. This area isn’t exactly full of locations to take a whole wedding party! Finally I suggested we could use the grassy fields beside our house ( which we do not own but have permission to use) and then Sharina found a neighbor’s barn they liked as well. I was hoping for clouds because there was no shade at either location, but we ended up with full sun and I love the results! We also had to deal with some crazy wind as you will see 🙂
The day began with detail photos and getting ready in a beautiful sunny room in the bride’s home. It was perfect for photos!
A family friend brought in a delicious brunch and all the girls prayed over Sharina.. it was a morning full of so many sweet moments.
A daddy/ daughter first look..
The groomsmen were getting ready at a nearby cabin so Curtis was able to photograph them at the same time. When I was editing the photos, I realized that the bridesmaids were praying over Sharina at the exact time the groomsmen were praying with Kedric- the time stamps on the photos were exactly the same!
How cute are all the little nieces and nephews!?
If you know these two, you know that jumping off the platform and skipping down the aisle is of course the way they would exit their ceremony!
So many things to love about the reception! The appetizers on the table included smoked cream cheese their family made. The menu was a taco bar and the tortillas were hand-patted and fried fresh in the kitchen that day! The dessert bar was cookies and milk and I’ve never seen guests swarm around a dessert table the moment it was open like these did 🙂
And this exit was the most unique I’ve seen yet- paper airplanes! And the coolest get-away car you could wish for!
Keddy & Sharina- what an honor it was to photograph your wedding day! Blessings on your marriage!
light & love, Michelle
