Photographing Sam and Alaina’s wedding was bittersweet because it was our final wedding of 2021! Other years I’ve shot weddings into the winter and never really had a long break, but this year we left for 3 months in Italy on a mission trip, 3 weeks after their wedding. ( I’m writing this blog post from there!)
God blessed us with the perfect September day for their wedding day.. The weather was beautiful. It was a relaxed day and everything went so well!
The couple are very country kind of people so that was the style they went with for their wedding! It was so ‘them’.
We did the portraits at Middle Creek Wildlife Center, just around the block from the bride’s home. The sage bridesmaid’s dresses and sunflower bouquets went perfectly with all the goldenrod that was just coming into bloom.
After the portraits everyone went back to the bride’s home to relax and have a light lunch. ( I highly recommend planning a break like this into your wedding day timeline!)
The ceremony was held at the couple’s home church which is just the cutest little building!
The reception was at the Copper Horse Barn, a beautiful rustic venue. I loved how country the decor was and yet so tasteful and elegant.
Ron and Sonya Burkholder catered the meal and it was amazing!
There was a lovely sunset to end the day and we slipped outside for a few golden hour portraits. The whole day was just so GOOD! Blessings on your marriage, Sam and Alaina!
